Jumbo Countdown

One of the most controversial TVC we have ever dubbed.

It tells a story of a sailor who is far away from home on a Christmas eve and has a heart-breaking phone call with his kid. He didn't get presents and he wouldn't make it home on time. Instead, he pictures for his kid to imagine what he is bringing for him from distant lands.

The commercial caused a huge impact for such a sensitive topic in Bulgaria where many parents live and work abroad. Groups in social media were formed by viewers who wanted it banned and called for boycotting Jumbo stores. Others found it touching and argued it as making a point. 

At the end, the old advertising rule confirmed. There is no such thing as "bad publicity" and we took our pride in crafting its voice.
